Cemile about herself

I was born in the Perm town. When my mother died I was 5 years old. Grandmother became my guardian. Till 14 I lived with her in Kestym village, Udmurtia. My childhood was very hard as from 7 years old I began to work on the collective farms during summer time. After granny’s death I was sent to Balezin boarding-school. Fortunately, Zuhra (class leader and cousin) registered a guardianship. I lived with her for 2 years.

After graduating school I desided to become an actress. From my childhood I took part in amateur performances. All people around were saying that I had a talant. I felt this, but only when I was sure of it I entered Kazan theatrical school’s actor’s department. From this time the very life began. It was very hard and thankless, but at the same time very interesting and merry. As everybody I had my ups and downs.

When I finished first course I was asking to enter conservatoire. As I didn’t have musical education I even didn’t try. I was admitted to the musical school, but later I returned to theatrical (I never was sorry for this). I was mad about theatre, I couldn’t imagine my life without it. After the third course with my friend Lilya I went to Moscow. There we wanted to enter circus school. In difference to me Lilya wasn’t admitted. So we desided to come back to Kazan. I was very happy to return to my school.

During study I was already performing on Kazan scenes in tandem with Zufar Hiretdinov, Aidar Faizrahmanov and Mirsaid Sungatullin. I began to write my own songs, but never told that they were mine, as at that time everything was different.

After graduating theatrical school and “Agidel” festival I found myself in Estonia. I was offered to enter jazz department of musical school named G. Ots. Earlier I was acquainted with jazz ochestra “Dustar”, it totally changed my musical taste. I was infatuated with jazz and blues.Unfortunately I couldn’t finish my study because Estonia had separated and language of teaching changed.
I moved to Finland. Now I live here with my husband and 3 my children (Timer, Irek, Camil). Can you imagine how it is difficult to combine creative work and family.

When my chidren were small I had written about 20 child’s songs for them. I have a prospect to record a disk with finnish tatars, but as usually there is no time.
Life brings me together with Rim Hasanov (composer) and Albert Asadullin, who greatly had influenced all my music. They found my songs exellent. In their opinion I had what to tell other people. So, all went on and on.
For a long time I wasn’t in Russia and Kazan. Last year (2002) in congress, where I had a speech, I met my old friends-Airat,Anas, Zakir.
I can speak about them for hours. The result of our cooperative work is the album.I hope that sooner in October you’ll hear it.

Long talks with singer Airat Gumerov leaded me not only to music composing but also to writing texts. Last year I got acquainted with the group “Kazan Egetlere” and still our friendship lasts. All are special and talanted. My music sounds in their souls too. We’ve recorded 2 songs and sooner you’ll get them.
Artistic leader of the group Albert Ziatdinov understood and felt my music. I thank him. I’m very lucky that I have such people, who always inspire me and help to reveal myself.
Now I write songs for Malika and “Zaman” group.
